Betaflight settings: Run a 4 kHz PID loop with DShot300. The gyro stays at 8 kHz, that is fixed in hardware. Keep bidirectional DShot enabled.
Why: Betaflight defaults every board to an 8 kHz PID loop, while its own manufacturer guidelines have recommended 4 kHz plus DShot300 for the F722 since version 4.4. The automatic limiter that enforces this only exists for F4 and G4 boards, not for F7. At 8 kHz there is very little CPU headroom left, and pilots have reported in-flight lock-ups.
This applies to every F7 flight controller, not just this one. Betaflight classifies the F7 platform as legacy/maintenance as of August 2026 and recommends H7 for new high end designs. F7 remains the best price to performance choice, run at the settings above.

Dual BECs (10V/2A and 5V/2A) keep your VTX and peripherals on clean, separate power. 16MB blackbox if you log. Six UARTs, up to 8 motor outputs, dual 4-in-1 ESC pads if you ever build X8.

Very Nice stack but if you are using the capacitor that Itsfpv sells I would recommend putting the xt30 on the bottom of the pad and the cap on the top otherwise its really hard to fit it all together. And put some electrical tape on the pressnut on the era mini to prevent any shorts
